2011 Show Wrap

More than 25,000 people made the most of Perth’s amazing spring weather and came out to the 4WD and Adventure Show, held last weekend at McCallum Park.

The 2011 Show had record numbers of exhibitors, with more than 185 exhibitors displaying their products and services. Displays covered new 4wd vehicles, caravans, camper trailers, fishing gear, 4wd accessories, camping gear and much more.

Show Director Peter Woods said the stand out fact of this year’s Show was that while numbers were slightly down on the attendance figures from last year, it was obvious that visitors had come to buy.

“Across the Show we were hearing the same thing – people were making purchases,” Peter said. “We had exhibitors who sold out of stock and had to do a run to the warehouse to get more for the final day. For exhibitors, this is a sure sign of a successful show.”

“The Perth 4WD and Adventure Show has been running now for more than 20 years, and is well known as being Australia’s biggest – and in ours and several others’ opinions – Australia’s best 4WD show,” Peter said.

“People come from across the state to grab a bargain and get all the gear they need for outdoor living; as well as to check out new releases, new products, new gadgets – and get info on 4WD clubs and 4WD destinations,” he said.

“The Show is more than just a 4WD expo. It’s a fun family day out, with non-stop entertainment and attractions, and something for everyone in the family to enjoy.”
